December on the Klamath River
Before Thanksgiving, we asked our good neighbor Jason to get us some mistletoe for our niece Shanna's girl scouts to sell at their December Christmas Fair. Here they are cutting the beautiful Oak tree fungus.
December has arrived and our early morning temps are 19 to 20 degrees, warming to 40 during the sun's high, which doesn't last long in this canyon.
However the evening are beautiful as we stroll the River Highway to enjoy the Christmas lights.
These are Frank Cardoza's. He really lights up our lives.

Autumn on the Klamath River.......
This past weekend we took a drive up the hill, over the bridge, and onto the other side of the River. This is what we found. Autumn on Walker/Yreka Road. Quite breathtaking!
Last weekend we took the Blue Goose Train from Yreka to Montague.
Past the pumpkin patch
and the galloping donkeys and cattle.
Train ride over, we drove past the Tree of Heaven canyon and on down Highway 96 back to the River.
All in all 2 great weekends. The weather is warm and sunny and I am faithfully working to get the website up and running with my webmaster's help.
See you here again soon.
